Turkey is a healthier alternative to a beef burger but can many times be bland and dry. Not this turkey burger! The addition of lots of veggies and herbs makes these truly mouth-watering.
In a large mixing bowl combine bread crumbs and milk and set aside.
Thoroughly mix in a food processor the onion, jalapeño, carrot, celery, garlic, salt, pepper and herbs. Mixture should be grated to very fine.
Add the veggie mixture to the bread crumbs. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, the egg and parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly.
Add the ground turkey and mix until well-combined. Mixture will be extremely moist.
Divide mixture into 4 equal parts and form into patties. Place patties on wax paper and place in freezer for 15 minutes. This will help firm up the mixture.
Fry burgers in 1 tbsp olive oil in a nonstick skillet for 5 - 7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
