Easy Peasy Homemade Soft Pretzels

- 10 Frozen bread rolls Thawed
- 2/3 cup Baking Soda
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 Cup Coarse Salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Shape thawed bread rolls into 5" ropes
Place ropes on a baking sheet and cover them with plastic wrap sprayed with nonstick cooking spray and place them in a warm spot (I use my oven turned to 200 degrees and leave the door open) and let them rise for about one hour
In a large stockpot bring two quarts of water to a bowl with the baking soda. Reduce heat to a slow simmer. Boil the bread ropes in batches, 15 seconds per side. Place them on a rack to drip dry.
Beat the egg with one tablespoon of water. Brush each pretzel with the egg wash and sprinkle them with coarse salt.
Bake at 375 for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately for best flavor.
